[3.3.x] Support Forum • Re: cannot create new forums

Regarding “Prune forums,” that function was selected because it is the only place found that shows the organization that has been created. No “prune” activity was performed.
The reply instructs to do the following:
permissions
group forum permissions
Registered users
I am unsure how to follow those instructions so here are my steps. After activating ACP, from the left column select Forum Permissions under the heading Forum Based Permissions.
This produces two dialogs both titled: Select a forum. What is the difference between the two groups?In the top group, select all forums then Submit to get new dialogs.
The next dialog is titled: Forum Permmission, but beneath it are two sections titled Users and Groups.
I was in a “Forums” dialog. Why am I now in a “Users” and “Groups” dialog?
The options don’t match the dialog. The left side selection for Manage users is blank and the right side has the list: Administrators, Bots, Global moderators, Guests, Newly registered users.
I am tempted to select all and try to continue the instructions. However, my impression is that the goal is to modify the forums and categories, not the groups and users.
I don’t know how to proceed here. Please clarify.
