[3.3.x] Support Forum • Need to Update after 3 Years Procrastination

Nothing major, it's just that I have done nothing with the board for 3+ years, and I need to update.

I want to update this as smoothly as possible, but I've forgotten a lot. (Call it Covid Brain Fog)

So some questions:

• am updating from PhpBB 3..3.0 to 3.3.11. Can I just do an update, or do I need to do a full reinstall?
  • If the former, the procedure would be to:
    1. Backup the software
    2. Backup the database
    3. Download and extract the latest full package to my computer, then delete the onfig.php file, files/ directory, images/ directory, store/ directory, from extracted package on my computer,
    4. Delete everything BUT the , config.php file, ext/ directory, files/ directory, images/ directory, store/ directory, from the server.
    5. Upload the contents of the local PhpBB3 directory to the online PhpBB3 directory on the server.
    6. Go to the {forum homepage}/install/app.php.update, ignore the error message, select update database only, and submit. Ignore "Failures" but errors mean a failure.
    7. Delete the install directory.

Is there anything that I am missing, or anything that I should watch for?
